Through our chats about cyber security and FIPPA I think it’s important to realize that everything one does online is public. Whether it’s through Javascript on websites, or flex server space for educational purposes, everything can be accessed. That said mundane measures such as visibility should be customized in order to protect data that the individual may not want readily seen.

This idea harkens back to the idea of social awareness online and the addiction that people form within the online world. The Social Dilemma was a great movie highlighting a lot of these issues:

Going through such movies and issues may prove vital in terms of what data students will consider putting online.

Cell phone use in class has proven to be quite a precarious topic as well at Esquimalt High during my Wednesday class. Thus my partner and I have decided to tackle cell phone addiction/ use in the classroom to see what are the benefits and how teachers are tackling this foreboding topic.

Are great launch off tools for seeing what other people have done to address the topic within a university/ workplace setting and really pushes us to discover more avenues of the topic.
